Seeking a qualified/certified teacher to join our boutique centre with 35 children. Be welcomed into our small close family where everyone supports one another and work alongside our lovely parents. Based in Birkenhead and promoting the underlying values of 'RESPECT', 'LOVE' and 'CARE' and follows some of the RIE philosophies focusing on uninterrupted play. Open from 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and is privately owned with supportive owners.

The role:

You will be working with the 2 to 5 year old’s and responsible for planning and guiding our children’s educational and developmental journey. Other duties include: maintaining portfolio’s, maintaining health safety standards record keeping, engaging in review and Professional Growth Cycle, building relationships with children and their families and supporting the centre manager to ensure the strategic goals of the centre are met along with safety compliance. 

Skills and experience for the role:

  • NZ ECE teaching degree or diploma qualified and a current certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A commitment to the Te Whāriki curriculum
  • Competent with Microsoft office suite
  • Strong team player.
