We are looking for a caring, fun and highly motivated deputy principal to join our senior leadership team. Onerahi School is a large contributing school with a growing roll of around 490 students from Y1–6. Our community values collaboration between learners, staff and whänau based on open and ongoing relationships. 

The successful applicant will have proven teaching and management experience, and be determined to help make a difference for akonga at Onerahi School. Our new deputy principal will be a future-focused professional leader whose responsibilities will include curriculum and assessment with the ability to dig deep into data, and leading and supporting teachers in the professional growth cycle. 

Embedding te reo Māori me ona tikanga is a strategic goal for the school, so the ability to connect with our school whānau, develop positive relationships and have an understanding of te reo Māori me ona tikanga is advantageous.

The ability to plan strategically, foster well-being, and have an understanding of the property and procurement processes is also important.
