Nestled in the semirural community of Matangi on the outskirts of Hamilton, we are still searching for a number of passionate and experienced qualified kaiako due to our expanding centre.

We are excited to share that we have positions coming available in both our Nursery and Pre-school rooms due to the extension of our license. Our centre has been open for just over a year, we have an incredible team of kaiako who you would be learning and growing alongside.

If you are a registered and qualified kaiako who would like to grow as part of our passionate team and openly contribute your knowledge to enrich our collective practices we encourage you to apply.

Ongoing support and guidance is provided to support kaiako on their teaching journeys.

As a kaiako your knowledge, passion and team contribution will be recognised, respected, and rewarded.

You will:

  • Have hands on experience working with tamariki.
  • Be confident in working as part of a team in supporting tamariki in their learning journey.
  • Be familiar with documenting and sharing this pathway, making connections with whānau and across the child's cultural contexts.
  • Have knowledge of respectful practice and confidence working alongside whānau to support our youngest tamariki.
  • Be open to reflecting, learning and growing as a kaiako.

Embracing the wonder of early years, we are looking for kaiako who can look at the world and see magic in everyday occurrences.

Preschool kaiako should have an understanding of Reggio and the active use of provocations. Nursery kaiako should embrace the mahi of Pikler and REI and be able to weave this into their interactions with our youngest Pepi.

Benefits include:

  • Purpose-built spacious and modern environment
  • Competitive remuneration
  • Payment of teacher registration fees
  • First aid certification
  • A comprehensive induction program/appraisal with regular and ongoing mentoring and professional development.
