Assistant / deputy principal – state your preferred teaching levels.
Te Horo School is a wonderful country school located on the beautiful Kāpiti Coast, just north of Waikanae and south of Ōtaki. The sunshine coast offers an outdoors lifestyle with access to beaches, the mountains and rivers. As a rural school we maintain our country school traditions and ethos, while being only an hour away from the hustle and bustle of Wellington. We have great facilities - with a purpose built hall, school garden, swimming pool, bush reserve and an outdoor learning street.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to further develop their leadership in a growing school. We are looking for an experienced leader of learning who can support, challenge and grow students and teachers. Someone who is a reflective practitioner, will inspire others to be the best they can be and values change for effective improvement. You will bring strong behaviour management skills along with a positive, caring, compassionate approach, and a sense of fun.
The successful applicant will need to be prepared to teach in a collaborative learning environment. Strengths in leading the arts, PE and health, UDL, or learning support (SENCO) desirable. Likely based in the Y1–4 junior school area but please state preferred teaching level in application.
