About the role:
St Cuthbert's College requires a teacher/dean to join our junior school. You will be required to assist the head of junior school in providing leadership that develops and implements high-quality teaching, pastoral care and learning in the junior school.

To be responsible for providing high-quality teaching and learning to the students at junior school
Leading and implementing a key curriculum area across the junior school
Overseeing the provision of a culture of quality learning experiences to meet the learning needs of all students.
Providing quality teaching and learning for a range of students with diverse learning needs
Ensuring students’ behaviour is in line with college values and culture
Keeping up to date with current pedagogy
Ensuring quality pastoral care of students
Supporting all teachers in developing the Junior school curriculum and making sure it is current.
To be successful in this role, you need to:
All applicants must hold a current New Zealand practising certificate and have the right to work in New Zealand. Familiarity with delivering the New Zealand Curriculum, NCEA and standards-based assessment is essential
Tertiary education in a related discipline.
Educational experience; cultural sensitivity
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a wide variety of audiences
Excellent planning, organisational, prioritisation and forward planning skills
Strong interpersonal skills and building effective relationships with team members, internal teams, and parents to gain their trust and respect.
