At Ko Taku Reo we work to provide teaching support and resources to help New Zealand’s Deaf and hard of hearing children reach their academic potential as well as nurture their social and emotional wellbeing and help them form their own identity. This new organisation came out of a journey to merge Kelston and van Asch Deaf Education Centres. You will be joining a nationwide team and you will share their passion and enthusiasm for delivering high quality education and services to Deaf and hard of hearing students and their whanau we support.
We are searching for someone wanting to take on a project to end of the school year 2021.
This is a new role created to oversee and lead the development of identification, processing and coordination of new ORS applications.
The successful candidate is likely to be a SENCO teacher or previous Principal with considerable experience of the Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS) system and processes. They will work closely with teaching teams across the organisation as well as Specialists – internal and external, whanau and others who will need to input into the applications.
Only applicants that are legally entitled to work in New Zealand and can make themselves available for interview at short notice, will be considered for this position. We may look to interview prior to closing so please apply early.
