We are a dynamic and multicultural school in the heart of Nelson, devoted to the bicultural heritage of Aotearoa. Our school is committed to developing a strong sense of belonging and equitable and excellent outcomes for all. The successful applicant will demonstrate culturally responsive relationships and pedagogy and be a highly effective and collaborative practitioner.
We are looking for a nurturing, inclusive, and enthusiastic kaiako to give our youngest learners a positive start to their schooling. They will be creative and innovative in the way they engage with students to inspire our tamariki, while creating a learning space where all ākonga are listened to, cared for, and valued.
As well as teaching new entrants, our new junior teacher will work collaboratively with another experienced Y0–3 teacher to create learning opportunities across the two classrooms.
Experience teaching new entrants, PB4L, and any experience with 'Better Start to Literacy' are desirable for the role but not prerequisites.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email Dan.
