We are a not-for-profit ECE centre that aims to provide quality, innovate opportunities for learning for our tamariki and their whānau. We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to support and develop our centre. 

You will have a strong 'on the floor' presence, providing mentoring and role modelling of exceptional teaching practice to the rest of your team.    

 The following skills, knowledge and capabilities are ideally required for this role:

  • Leadership experience with the ability to develop, coach and lead a team to deliver exceptional learning opportunities
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills  
  • Superb communication skills 
  • Initiative, desire and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whāriki
  • Knowledge of Tikanga, te reo and Te ao Māori
  • Familiarity with the New Zealand Education Council, ERO, MOE requirements, Licensing Criteria, 2008 Regulations and Code of Ethics
  • A comprehensive understanding of how to maintain and grow occupancy levels
  • Fully qualified and registered teacher in NZ
  • Resourceful and full of initiative
  • Proven track record of change management.
