Kimi Ora is a specialist school for students aged 5–21 who have very high complex, medical, intellectual and physical needs. Our base school is situated in Naenae and we have three satellite classes within the Naenae/Taita/ Woburn and Evans Bay area.
We have a vacancy for a 0.4 FTE fixed-term Scale A teacher commencing on 26 July 2021 and finishing 14 December 2021 (terms 3 and 4). The reason for the fixed term is to cover for a teacher who is currently on study leave.
The successful applicant will initially work at our Base school or satellites situated in Lower Hutt however you may be required to work at other sites in the future.

Experience of working with students with very high physical and medical needs.
Experience of working with students aged between 14 to 21 years within a trans- disciplinary team.
Experience of supporting students working with the use of a range of communication devices and aids.
Experience of working with students with autism.
