Due to roll growth in our new entrant class, we are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and future-focused kaiako with a passion for play based teaching and learning in our Y1–2 classroom. We seek someone with effective classroom management strategies who is committed to building positive collaborative relationships with ākonga, whānau, staff and our wider community.
The successful applicant will be committed to developing a welcoming environment in which ākonga feel confident and energised to learn. A good understanding of te reo me ngā tikanga Māori is advantageous as we incorporate local knowledge and contexts in our planning, delivery and evaluation. Cultural richness is an important aspect as we pride ourselves on our local curriculum through collaboration with our hapū and Kāhui Ako.
We also explore the wider curriculum through technology, science, the arts and health. If you bring extra skills in those areas please include this in your application.
