We are looking for an assistant learning coordinator who is enthusiastic about young people and enjoys working as part of a team.

Fixed-term, part-time (20 hours per week) for the remainder of the 2021 school year.

Key tasks include: 

Supporting the learning co-ordinator in writing ORS reports

Meeting with and contribute to relevant wider cluster groups

Supporting the learning support co-ordinator with the junior school caseload: 

  • Create IEPs as required 
  • Assess students’ literacy and numeracy levels using JAM, PROBE, BURT, etc
  • Develop learning plans, learner profiles, UBRS plans and social stories as required.
  • Review academic, behaviour and social progress of students and complete reports (eg ICS reviews)
  • Provide teachers with strategies to support students (such as differentiation)
  • Create/locate specific resources that an be used to support student’s learning
  • Complete formal classroom observations of students
  • Update information in our student management system (KAMAR) and communicate this to staff
  • Maintain positive relationships with whānau so they feel comfortable in discussing progress and needs.
  • Meet with and contribute to internal pastoral hui
  • Make applications, and liaise, with wider organisations – such as RTLB. MoE, etc

This role may suit a qualified teacher, or those who have experience in this area.
