We are looking for a full-time release teacher to work largely in our Y0–2 hub, but also in our Y3–6 hubs, at times, releasing teachers across the school.
The role is a fixed-term position for terms 3–4 2021, due to roll growth.
We are an innovative school focused on developing the structures, processes and practices required for the deep personalisation of learning. This requires teachers who are genuinely willing to begin the learning process with the needs of every student, design and organise learning to meet those needs, gather evidence to determine the effectiveness of their teaching and learning programmes and always be responsive to the evidence and what they now know about the child.
You will need to be resilient, an ethical, committed professional, and willing and able to take your fair share of the load. Are you a continual learner? Are you urgent to see equitable outcomes for all students? Are you prepared to work in a highly collaborative team-teaching environment across all year levels from year 1-6?
At our school, we are serious about our responsibilities to New Zealand’s Te Tiriti partnership and to our highly multicultural school community. Expectations are high; however, we are supported by a caring and generous board of trustees, who are very concerned about the career development of teachers, teacher workloads and who are seeking sustainable solutions. We have a strong leadership development programme which takes a coaching leadership approach.
