ECE centre manager
ECE centre manager for newly-established service on Great Barrier Island.
The Aotea Education Trust on Aotea/Great Barrier Island is seeking a qualified ECE manager to launch the island’s first-ever drop-off ECE service and co-facilitate two weekly Playcentre family sessions. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live on the magical, off-the-grid island and help a unique community with this one-year pilot programme.
The centre manager will be responsible for setting up the daycare centre’s curriculum, helping to secure the centre’s license and provide quality early childhood education services to preschool-aged children. The manager will plan and guide the centre’s operations to achieve the goals of the centre’s strategic plan and ensure the financial stability of this not-for-profit organisation. They will be assisted with administrative support to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance. The manager will manage up to three staff members and work closely with the AET and the Aotea Island Playcentre, whose premises will be used for the drop off services.
This is an ambitious project to offer much-needed pre-school options on the island. AET is offering a highly competitive rate for the right candidate, with a favourable work schedule to be negotiated.
