Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is dedicated to providing memorable experiences through a nurturing and caring environment for tamariki and whānau by offering quality holistic educational opportunities utilising interactive learning. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Puna (centre) manager to manage this purpose built, innovative centre.

About the role:

As Puna Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of this Early Childhood Puna.  Mentoring your team, building close relationships with whānau, leading programme planning and internal evaluation, enrolments, and budget management will all be part of your day.

You will need:

  • Diploma or Degree in Teaching Early Childhood Education
  • Current Practising Certificate issued by Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Three to five years’ management in early childhood education
  • Experience teaching in a range of early childhood education environments
  • The ability to manage and lead a diverse team
  • Excellent planning and facilitation skills
  • A sound understanding of āhuatanga Māori (values, culture, tikanga and te reo)
