Waitangi Treaty Grounds are looking for an educator to support our education programmes onsite and virtually. We make learning exciting and bring it to life by providing engaging bespoke programmes for student groups to support the learning in their classrooms. In this role you will develop and facilitate meaningful learning experiences for ākonga in English medium and Māori Medium contexts through engagement with our taonga and exhibitions.

For this fixed-term role (to 17 December 2021), you need to be passionate about supporting young people to engage with their history. You have considerable experience in working with children and young people, and you are enthusiastic about working with learners of all ages and from all backgrounds. A teaching qualification and recent teaching experience would be ideal but are not essential, a level of fluency in te reo Māori, confidence in tikanga Māori and the ability and confidence to partly or fully deliver in te reo Māori would be an advantage.
