This exciting new role to lead our careers and vocational pathways team will work with our existing heads of Industry Pathways and Employment Skills to support all Edgewater College students to realise their passions and have the skills and qualifications they need to excel in the future.  We are looking for a future-focused and collaborative person to build a highly innovative and successful programme that supports all our learners into the future of work and/or learning.

Key tasks will involve – ensuring all students receive strength-based careers advice, tracking and mentoring our learners, and working with school leaders, teachers, and the wider community to ensure all students are able to develop their career management capabilities. An ability to support priority learners, including those with additional learning needs, as well as Māori and Pacific youth is essential.

This position is open to either teaching or non-teaching staff. Hours of work will be negotiated with the successful applicant – could be a term-time support staff role with some school holiday work or a 0.8–1.0 position under the teaching collective – please state teaching strengths in your application.  Career guidance qualifications or the willingness to work towards these is a condition of appointment.
