We are looking for a qualified, registered kaiako to join our teaching team. This role will be permanent/part-time. Minimum of 22½ hours per week, maximum 27½ hours.

We are a community-based centre that values quality education and care for both tamariki and kaiako. Whānaungtanga, Manaakitnga, Kaitiakitanga and Rangatiratanga are the core aspects of our philosophy and are reflected and embedded within all that we do.

There is so much to love about our centre, we have a big, beautiful outdoor space. We have a flexible approach to curriculum planning that suits the individual needs and interests of our tamariki, and we are passionate about empowering our learners through authentic, play-based child-led learning experiences. All of this is supported by low ratios, that we pride ourselves on.

We offer a wonderfully supportive team environment with a focus on collaboration, wellbeing, and growth. Our kaiako become a part of our family and we work hard to uphold their mana with the knowledge that happy, empowered kaiako will bring about the best outcomes for our tamariki and centre.

We can offer the successful kaiako:

  • A very supportive management team, who give you autonomy in your role
  • Regular professional growth and mentoring meetings
  • Regular and ongoing mentoring and relevant professional development opportunities
  • A committed and fun-loving team of kaiako and management
  • Subsidised childcare
  • Annual flu vaccination
  • Paid teacher registration
  • Paid first aid
  • Paid professional development
  • Paid fortnightly staff meetings that involves shared kai provided by the centre
  • A warm, supportive, and fun environment that you can call a home-away-from-home.
