Toddler teacher in a small, FUN team!

Are you an experienced, fun, fair and firm teacher who has a passion for working with toddlers?

We’re licensed for 48 children split across three personalised spaces with a team of experienced teachers and teachers in training. Our toddler space allows for 12 children to enjoy a mix of quiet time alongside interactions with both younger and older peers throughout our flexible daily routines.
The centre philosophy is based around active movement with an onsite gymnasium available for all ages to enhance their gross motor skills. The daily programme has a variety of teacher-led and free-play activities.  The genuine and caring relationships we share with children and their wider whanau give our families a strong sense of belonging here at Fundamentals and this is why so many of our families have siblings, cousins and friends who also attend. Fundamentals encourages the growth and development of respect, team work, a love of learning and most importunately – FUN!  Check out our Facebook page for a snapshot of what we get up to.

Although each of our spaces has a room leader, we encourage all of our team members to grow their leadership capabilities and strengths in areas of their interest. Ideally you are flexible, positive, have a readiness to learn, while also having the confidence and initiative to help our team continue to grow and thrive!

This role is flexible for the right applicant and is approximately 30–35 hours across either 4–5 days. Daily shifts are fixed from week to week but vary daily between 7.30am–6pm (this is, unfortunately, not a 9am–3pm role). Each team member has regular non-contact and administration time, as well as 1-on-1’s with an allocated mentor and guidance to support their professional growth cycle.
