We are looking for a collaborative and creative co-teacher for our Y5 class to job-share with one of our experienced Waldorf teachers.
Do you play an instrument or sing? Do you paint, weave harakeke or enjoy gardening? Do you have an interest in folk dance or story telling? Here at Te Rā School we value teachers who can teach through the arts while also developing strong programmes in maths and literacy.
While we prefer candidates with experience in Waldorf education, this could also be an opportunity for an experienced teacher to join our school and learn more about the Waldorf approach. If you are open to learn, we are open to share!
This position is fixed-term 0.4 FTTE for term 2 (relief cover for a teacher on fixed-term leave). The successful applicant will be expected to uphold and support the special character of the school. Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential and proficiency in te reo Māori is an advantage.
So, if you enjoy using movement and artistic activities into your daily programme, have strong skills in classroom management and wish to work with a co-teacher to meet the diverse social, emotional and educational needs of their students, we would love to hear from you!
Applications close 21 April 2021 and shortlisted candidates need to be available for an interview during the term break.
