Applicants will bring to the role:

  • Self initiation and a positive, open to learning mindset
  • Kindness, collegiality, a continual self-improvement lens, a sense of humour, a team focus, leadership qualities and the ability to collaborate within a supportive team
  • Knowledge, respect and passion for conservation, outdoor education and nature play
  • Knowledge of Te Whāriki, te tiriti o Waitangi, Te ao Maori and tikanga, waiata in ECE with a desire to develop culturally responsive relationships and promote inclusive, positive outcomes for the individual needs of ākonga
  • A desire to serve our local community, with an interest for community initiatives that support ākonga well-being. 

Additional attributes might include hobbies that could extend on your teaching practice e.g. playing an instrument, crafting, gardening/knowledge of flora and fauna, reo, Te Whatu Pōkeka, local knowledge and/or community interests to name a few…
