We seek a creative and enthusiastic teacher with some leadership experience at middle leadership level. You will lead a double satellite unit alongside another teacher and will provide coaching to team of learning assistants, whose responsibilities have increased as a result of the new Teacher Aide Pay Equity Scale.
Early childhood or junior primary experience is advantageous, as well as an ability to adapt the NZ key competencies to meet the learning needs of intellectually disabled students. Skills in te reo or Pasifika languages are preferred but not essential.
If you have knowledge or understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy or play-based education, you will enjoy being part of our school as we are currently implementing a school-wide change to our pedagogy across our refurbished classrooms and modern satellite classes.
Competency in digital integration is essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with our therapy and specialist teams, to establish close positive and supportive relationships with our families and whānau.
