We are looking for an experienced, responsible and passionate programme coordinator / visiting teacher to join our friendly and dynamic team. Please note this role is a full-time 40-hour, permanent role and it offers the flexibility of working from home and office. An attractive remuneration package will be provided to the successful candidate.

Applicants must have:

  • A recognised early childhood teaching qualification at Level 7 or higher
  • A current full certificate
  • A current first aid certificate and a clean unrestricted NZ driver’s licence
  • Excellent verbal, written and online communication skills
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching and leading adults
  • Sound planning and organisational skills
  • Self-motivation and initiative.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working independently as a leader, mentor and supporter of a caseload of educators and young children
  • Ensuring all homes and educators meet regulations and criteria for providing the education and care, wellbeing, health and safety of the children
  • Supporting the educators to assess and plan for children’s learning, and to provide positive learning environments, consistent with multilingual kids’ goals and the curriculum framework of Te Whāriki
  • Guiding the educators to implement a curriculum that respects and supports the right of each child to be confident in their own culture and encourage children to understand and respect other cultures
  • Leading self-reviews of the service and documenting them
  • Reviewing the service’s policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that quality reporting and documentation is maintained at all times and is timely and accurate.
