Nga Tawa Diocesan School is a special character, Anglican boarding and day school for Y9–13 girls.
We are seeking a suitably experienced person to implement our positive education curriculum and be responsible for student wellbeing and behaviour management, in both our day and boarding environments.
As a member of the senior management team, our director of wellbeing is responsible for the day-to-day operation of boarding and leading the wellbeing team including boarding staff, deans, counsellors and nurse.
Have a vested interest in the wellbeing of our young women and their development
Be an effective communicator
Be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and families
Have an in-depth understanding of school systems, positive psychology/education and restorative practices
Be aware of current legislation that guides best practice and policy development
Hold a qualification in either health, psychology, education or counselling and be registered with the affiliated professional body.
The successful applicant is required to live on-site, and a four bedroom family home is provided as part of the employment package.
Term 3 start date, or earlier by negotiation.
