We are looking for an energetic, caring and professional teacher to join our U1 rural school in our Y0–3 class.
This position is 0.4 FTTE (Thursday–Friday) to job share in our junior classroom. We are a well-resourced school with small classes. We offer a rural environment surrounded by the Waikato River and Port Waikato surf beaches. The school teaches using an environmental-based curriculum lens focused on the Trees for Survival and Enviroschools ideals. We are looking for a teacher with high expectations of all students who will work to accelerate their progress in all areas of the curriculum. Our school works at Level 4B of the Māori immersion levels meaning all teachers must be willing to teach and take part in daily te reo and te ao Māri lessons.
Applicants will have an up-to-date knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum, be able to work both collaboratively and independently, with strong relationship skills. They will also be committed to ongoing professional learning. We are an active member of our local Community of Learning – Te Kaahui Ako o te Puuaha o Waikato.
