The Cottage is a much loved community childcare centre, passionate teachers providing outstanding care for local children and their families. A community hub with an energetic vibe and fun loving staff.

With a license for 50 children, we have 2 vacancies for strong teachers who are adventurous, passionate and energetic. Our children are eager to learn and grow with your support.

We are dedicated to continual professional teaching growth as a supportive whanau/team we provide exciting internal and external professional development opportunities.

You will possess an NZ ECE Degree / Diploma; knowledge and understanding of Te Whāriki; be able to plan, assess and document children’s learning; work collaboratively with the team; demonstrate respectful practise; be able to develop relationships with children and parents and have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

We will offer you the opportunity to work full-time on a roster within the hours the centre is open – Monday to Friday 8am–5.10pm. Start dates are negotiable and we are willing to provide support to those willing to make the move to our wonderful town.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
