Learning support coordinator, Ruapehu Kāhui Ako

The Ruapehu Kāhui Ako is seeking a New Zealand registered teacher who will take on the role of learning support coordinator (LSC) based at Ohakune School or Raetihi School but will work with learners, teachers and whanau across Ruapehu area.

The purpose of the learning support coordinator is to ensure that children and young people with mild to moderate needs or, high and complex learning support needs receive the appropriate help when they need it.

The successful applicant will be empathetic and have the ability to promote and manage learning support across schools with the Kāhui Ako by drawing together staff, whānau, agencies, specialists and resources.

This position will see the successful applicant working with our staff and other LSCs across our Kāhui Ako, to better meet the needs of learners. They will work to ensure the needs of all students receive the appropriate support to enhance their learning and progress.
