Are you an experienced early childhood teacher ready to take on an exciting leadership role?     

Nurture@Home is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and passionate teacher to join our highly collaborative team, starting from 20 hours per week over four days, growing to 25 hours per week over five days.

As a visiting teacher you will work as a member of our leadership team, wroking alongside our home-based educators providing professional leadership, support, and mentoring, including induction of new educators to ensure high-quality learning and care for tamariki.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, heart-led and have a positive and focused approach. Strong time management and organisation skills are a must, as this role allows the teacher flexibility to organise their day-to-day routine. Excellent communication skills are expected.

To undertake this role you will have:

  • A recognised early childhood teaching qualification
  • A current practising certificate
  • A genuine desire to see children and our wider team thrive
  • Self-motivation and initiative
  • Sound planning and organisational skills
  • Great attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Tikanga Maori and te reo Maori knowledge will be a strength
  • Excellent verbal, written and online communication skills
  • A clean unrestricted NZ driver’s licence
  • Experience of home-based education will be a bonus, but not a necessity
  • A passion for small group ratios and quality care and education
  • A positive mindset, with the ability to learn quickly
  • A creative mind with a desire to make life fun.
