Sweet Pea ELC is an innovative and inspiring Reggio based childcare centre located in the heart of rural Ohoka in close proximity to Rangiora and Kaiapoi. As we grow from strength to strength it has become necessary for us to take the next step and employ a pedagogical leader/assistant manager.

We are looking for a talented, hardworking, and courageous leader who will empower our staff members, parents and tamarki.

We are looking for a leader who excels in the following areas:

  • Empower all learners to reach their highest potential by providing high-quality teaching and leadership.
  • Leading critical inquiry through internal evaluation, professional growth cycles and curriculum design and implementation.
  • Ensuring that the centre meets all legislative and regulatory compliance obligations with MOE.
  • A good understanding of current educational theory and practice is a requirement combined with innovative thinking.
  • Have sound knowledge in all areas of ECE including understanding that a business can only be successful if all aspects of the business are understood including marketing, customer service and finances.
  • A proven track record is a must.
  • A strong sense of empathy, a desire to be inclusive in everything you do and respect for diversity.
