We are looking for a kaiako to join our team.  We want a kaiako who:

  • is motivated, empathetic and highly organised
  • brings a Māori worldview to an ECE setting and is passionate about te reo Māori me ōna tikanga
  • builds solid relationships with tamariki and their whānau
  • works well with other team members contributing, taking feedback and building a successful team culture

Requirements:

  • Fully or provisionally qualified kaiako (ECE or primary) 
  • Fluency in te reo Māori me ngā tikanga Māori (highly desirable)

 About us

We are an urban based Punareo located in Thorndon, Wellington.  We are licenced for 45 tamariki and have a staff of 10 kaiako, one administrator and one kaitunu (cook).  Te reo me ngā tikanga Māori and environmental sustainability are our key foundations.
