Inspired U2 kaiako - Te Awamutu.
Our privately-owned early learning centre is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and self-motivated qualified teacher for our U2 year old room.
We have a small roll of 44 child places, with children in two learning spaces taught by teams of kaiako who prioritise best practice and strongly advocate for all our tamariki.
We pride ourselves on our beautiful and spacious natural outdoor environments, which include ample amounts of real grass, flower and vegetable gardens, large trees and resources to explore. We have also spent time refreshing our interior environments, making them fun spaces to learn and play in.
We would love a kaiako who will facilitate children's learning opportunities, love building strong relationships with tamariki, their whanau and work colleagues, and prioritise collaborating and developing as a team.
Our centre is committed to giving back to our kaiako as we understand the demands that teaching in an early childhood centre can bring. Providing teachers with the right professional development opportunities, time away from teaching for planning, learning documentation and self-reflection, good teacher ratios (1:3 for our U2 room and 1:7 for our O2 room), and ensuring we have the right learning equipment, natural resources and teaching supplies are just some of the ways we advocate for our kaiako.
We also recognise the importance of a good work-life balance and offer flexibility with hours, days of work and acknowledge everyone's responsibilities outside of our workplace.
This teaching position is available to start now, with the opportunity for it to evolve into a room leadership position also.
If our centre sounds like your type of place, please come in and see us, or contact us anytime – we would love to meet you.
