Centre team leader

As a result of a change of ownership to Bay Buddies Preschool, St Leonards, Hastings (formally BestStart). 

Bay Buddies Preschool is looking for a passionate and committed leader.

Our centre values relationships with children, parents and the wider community; our philosophy is focused on "Belonging".

This position involves supporting, teaching and leading the team, communicating with families and ensuring the centre operates as a high-performing centre based on quality between staff, children and whānau.

As a centre team leader, you will role model leadership qualities, motivating others to do the same.

Key responsibilities:

• Role model exceptional teaching practice and contribute to all elements of team mentoring
• Plan, implement and evaluate a learning programme that is responsive to the strengths and interests of children
• Lead your team with planning and internal evaluation
• Creating culture, the passion, engagement, and overall success of our teachers
• Focus on enrolments
• Supporting in recruitment as needed, leading and developing a high-quality team
• Essential in this role are excellent communication and organisational skills.
