Start date: term 2, 3 May, end date 31 December 2022. Contract for Alternative Education reviewed every two years.

Located in Linwood, Christchurch, provides alternative education to 22 young persons, aged between 13 and 16, who have been excluded from, or alienated from mainstream schooling.

The role

This role is a fixed-term part-time contract which will begin term 2 and be reviewed term 4 end, December 2022. Remuneration will take into account the applicant’s current teacher pay step. Hours are negotiable.

The  role of the teacher is a hands-on position responsible for the day-to-day teaching operation of the Adventure Programme.

  • Prepare, deliver and assess learning opportunities for our students within the classroom setting towards NCEA Level 1 (e.g. numeracy, literacy, and marking other unit standards).
