Are you a head teacher or team leader looking for a new challenge? This is a unique opportunity to join us as a leader; the first time we have advertised for a head teacher since 2008.

We have a strong focus on learning for all, including our kaiako. We have an excellent mix of teachers in our teams bringing a range of experiences, interests and perspectives. 3 times each year we run in-house wānanga lead by our own highly respected educationalists Anne Meade and Rachel Denee, alongside our leadership team and external experts.

We are seeking a head teacher for 'Te Pihinga'. Pihinga means a young plant, and tamariki range in age from around 2½ to 6 years. Most children at Te Pihinga are initially enrolled next door at Te Purapura, transitioning across to Te Pihinga sometime during their third year. So if you have a passion for education and care of young children, who are flourishing as they head toward school, this is the role for you.

Daisies was created over 12 years ago with the goal of leading the way in quality ECE, striving to be environmentally sustainable and to meet the needs of busy working parents. In 2019 we opened Te Pihinga, enabling us to create two distinctive houses focused on two age-groups. There remains significant interaction between houses, with several teachers having worked in both. We are active participants in the Reggio Emilia Aotearoa NZ community of practice, and we also practise RIE/Pikler philosophies.

We are looking to recruit someone with leadership experience, who thrives on the busyness of the head teacher role, while aspiring to be a leader and role model not just for Daisies itself but also to the wider ECE sector.

Further information about us can be found on our website or on our Facebook page.
