Our vision

Our college provides a comprehensive education for girls from Y1 through to Y13 for boarding and day girls. We have a dual senior pathway with NCEA and the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme and a strong emphasis on wellbeing and pastoral care as well as academic success. With a commitment to holistic education, balancing academic excellence with a multitude of co-curricular opportunities, the college encourages students and staff to discover their passions and be the very best they can be.

The college education is founded on Anglican values with a focus on service and wellbeing and offered within a modern school environment promoting diversity, innovation, and sustainability.

The role

We are seeking an innovative Chaplain to lead the worship and spiritual life of our school. This is an exceptional opportunity to join our supportive, collaborative school, celebrating 111 years of outstanding education with a strong community focus and a reputation of academic, sporting and artistic excellence.

The position requires maintaining and growing our school’s strong spiritual and pastoral culture, with a progressive, future focused religious education programme to meet the needs of our students, staff and wider community. The Chaplain is an integral member of the school’s leadership team and will work closely with the Executive Principal to promote the school’s vision, faith and values in the school community.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Anglican Liturgy, preferably having worked in a school environment and taught religious education. You will have an appropriate counselling qualification with the willingness to support and drive the value we place on the spiritual wellbeing of young people through Christian learning and pastoral care influence in all areas of school life, and a dedication to serving others.

There is a teaching component to this position and is negotiable with the successful candidate.
