Learning support coordinator – full-time, permanent. To commence as soon as possible.
Kāhui Ako ki Papakura is looking for a registered teacher who is passionate about building relationships with learners, whānau and external agencies in a secondary school context to fill the role of learning support coordinator based at Papakura High School. If you have the skills and desire to support rangatahi with additional learning needs to access the support that they need to thrive, please apply.
The ideal applicant will be able to work collaboratively with the Papakura High School staff and learning support team and as part of a wider LSC team in the Kāhui Ako. The ability to work with students and whānau from diverse cultural backgrounds is imperative. A good understanding of Ministry of Education and other external agencies would be an advantage as would knowledge of learning support in a secondary school context (e.g. Special Assessment Conditions criteria), however training and support for further study would be provided to the successful applicant.
