Social sciences

  Suitable for beginning teachers

Closes 4pm 01 March 2021
Vacancy reference #: 1HAH84

We are a coeducational school, established in 1883, with a roll of approximately 1,750 students. Cambridge is in the heart of the Waikato region and has recently become a focus for elite sport with cycling, triathlon, kayaking and rowing establishing their New Zealand bases here. Cambridge High School serves the interests of the community incredibly well, meeting the varied academic, trades, cultural and sporting needs of our students.  Places at CHS are highly sought after with families choosing to move into town to gain access to the school.

An opportunity exists for a full-time fixed-term teacher to join our successful social sciences faculty. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for junior social studies and the ability to teach Level 1 history.

We have some flexibility over the current timetable and, as such, are interested in candidates who can teach any of the social sciences to a senior level.

Ideally, the start date would be 25 March, however this is negotiable for the right candidate. Candidates that applied for the previously advertised social science position will also be considered, therefore need not reapply.

How to apply

To apply, download and complete the application form on our website and submit with a covering letter, CV and evidence of teacher registration to:
