The school is seeking to fill a position as a full-time associate Chaplain, supporting the school Chaplain in meeting the pastoral needs of boys at the junior campus in Remuera and the Rural Campus in Maungatawhiiri. The role also has a teaching component, teaching religious education to Y5, 6, and 7 based at the junior campus.
The successful candidate will understand not only the importance of spiritual wellbeing in the education of young people, but also actively supporting them through Christian learning, initiation, Youth Groups, acting as a lay minister, and generally being an active and Christian influence in the boarding houses.
They will be comfortable working with different cultures, supporting the boys' spiritual needs both within and outside the school context through their communities and families in a supportive and collaborative manner.
This role will suit an enthusiastic, trained and experienced practitioner who loves working with young people and wants to be part of a community focused on student wellbeing.
Experience working in a school environment will be a definite advantage.
