The successful candidate will work closely with our learning support and pastoral departments in the college. They will be an effective team member networking with learning support coordinators and SENCO's in our school cluster. They will be a qualified, highly skilled classroom teacher with a passion for working collaboratively to support teachers and to support students with their individual learning needs – physical, social, learning, behaviour, and gifted. They will be instrumental in coordinating and supporting transition points in student learning pathways. They will be involved with the evaluation of student needs, analysis of results and determining effective resources/programmes of support, as well as the direct teaching / mentoring / coaching of students who will benefit from learning support. Please note this is not a teaching position.
This position will be working with mostly Y9–14 students and is dependent on being able to make positive relationships with a wide range of people, having the ability to be adaptable, show initiative and be determined to make a difference.
The position commences at the start of term 2, 2021 or earlier by negotiation.
