We seek an enthusiastic and capable teacher to work with our Y7–13 ORS students in our learning support unit. This is a 0.2 role initially, with a start date as soon as possible.
The successful applicant will provide teaching for identified ORS funded students in our learning support unit, preparing work and teaching students on individualised programmes. Knowledge and experience of NZ Curriculum Level 1 is expected, as well as an enthusiasm for working with students with diverse needs.
We are looking for a kind, organised and committed teacher who can work alongside our great team. This is a role that would suit a flexible, passionate person who believes in equity and inclusion.
The position is fixed-term because of fluctuations in ORS funding and hours of work may need to be adjusted should any of our funded students leave, or the numbers increase.
Work hours are negotiable, although at this stage we are envisaging one full day or two half days a week.
We welcome applications from primary trained teachers.
Only applicants that are legally able to live and work in New Zealand, with either an NZ residency or work visa and current NZ teacher registration, will be considered.
