Following the retirement of our current teacher academy director, we are seeking to appoint an educational leader to provide ongoing progressive professional development for teaching and non-teaching staff. As a senior member of the principal and educational leadership teams, the academy director will have the following responsibilities:
Ensure consistency of teaching pedagogy/student experience
Unpack the Self-Directed Learning (SDL) pedagogy and Learning to Learn Framework
Facilitate best practice and methods
Facilitate effective assessment practices across all levels of OSGNZ
Ensure smooth induction and minimum requirements are met for new staff
Offer internal teacher certification framework to drive teacher progression and recognition
Focus on the building of pedagogical capacity to ensure staff are confident and capable of using digital learning tools for authentic teaching and learning.
We are seeking a strong pedagogical leader with drive and a focus on best practice learning outcomes within an education environment. You will be forward-thinking with a strong understanding of SDL and modern learning environments. Recent experience in an educational leadership role in New Zealand would be an advantage.
