Early childhood teacher

We have a fantastic opportunity for a fully registered early childhood teacher  or beginning teacher.

We are looking for a teacher who has a positive can-do attitude. A team player who shows dedication for working with children, is able to use their initiative and who is passionate about providing high-quality learning outcomes for our children. To be eligible for this teacher position you must have a NZ recognised ECE teaching qualification and have your full registration or provisional registration.  

Our teachers hours are: 

Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 7.45am–3.15pm.

Tuesday, Thursday 7.45am–4.30pm.

Our session times for the children are 8.30am–2.30pm. 

We are founded on Christian values, alongside Te Whāriki. We teach a Christian curriculum. This means we teach positive values, include Bible stories, songs and prayers. However our doors are open to all whānau and any child may attend.

Do you have the following attributes? 

• A Christian or embrace Christian values and can promote our Christian values at all times 
• Sound knowledge of Te Whāriki and The Code of Professional Responsibility
• Knowledge of Tataiako and supporting social and emotional competence in early learning  
• The ability to work well in a small team
• A kind and nurturing nature
• Able to use your initiative and be flexible when needed
• Experience with programme planning, learning stories and internal evaluation
• Confidence in communicating with parents and other staff members.
