We are seeking a learning specialist to support our Raranga Matihiko / Weaving Digital Futures programme. This role will contribute to the development of our learning programmes with an emphasis on resource development and mentoring teachers in Māori Medium and English Medium contexts. You will empower our kaiako through weaving digital technologies and Aotearoa New Zealand histories learning with Te Papa's collections, exhibitions and resources by designing and facilitating meaningful learning experiences, resources and products for kaiako.

To be successful in this role you will be a passionate and talented teacher or kaiako who engages learning and technology to make a real difference to the organisations and communities you work with.

In addition to this, you will:

  • An advocate for learning and passionate about contributing to educational innovation
  • Enjoy developing new programmes and products, and you believe in testing ideas and experimenting
  • Evidence of successfully mentoring others
  • A team player with great ideas and the skills to bring them to life
  • Whilst not essential fluency in te reo Māori and confidence in tikanga Māori is a distinct advantage.

This role is full-time (40 hours) fixed-term contract to 18 December. This is an ideal experience for a teacher secondment. Bring your classroom skills and insights, learn new skills in an innovative context and then return to school refreshed and energised for 2022.
