Preschool qualified early childhood teacher

We are seeking an ECE trained and certified teacher to join our current team to work in our community-based preschool. Our preschool is located in Kingston Wellington and is set in a natural bush environment with beautiful large outdoor areas and gardens. We are a two-classroom Montessori preschool, committed to authentic and high-quality Montessori education. We educate for peace, self-reliance, relationship and equality.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with preschool children, has a fun and calm personality with skills in nurturing and inspiring children’s independence, confidence and creativity. Applicants will have either a Montessori qualification, or a keen interest and desire to learn more about Montessori. 

This is a full-time role however, part-time may be considered. The majority of our children attend daily between 8.30am to 3pm with some children staying on in our extended day program until 5.30pm. This role will include some rostered finish times of 5.30pm. This role will also be required to work some weeks during school holidays in our holiday program.  We have a close down period for 3 weeks during the Christmas holiday period.
