This is a specialist teaching role for three days of teaching composite classes of gifted learners from Y2–8, 0.6 FTE teaching Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays.
MindPlus is a one-day-per-week withdrawal programme for intellectually and creatively gifted learners aged 6–13 years. We are seeking an experienced, creative, highly motivated teacher who enjoys a challenge, values and works well with difference, and can work autonomously as well as part of a distance team. Experience and qualification in gifted education desirable, but applications from teachers with a high level of interest in this area will also be considered. Full registration (category one or two) and current NZ Practising Certificate essential.
The position is based at Verran Primary (Birkdale). The role starts as soon as possible. with teaching commencing the week beginning 8 February.
