In February 2022 our Y1–8 school, Te Kura Whakatipu O Kawarau will open its doors to its first students. We are now seeking applications for our 2 deputy principals who will commence at the start of term 2, 2021 and join our foundation principal in the excitement of designing and creating a fabulous new centre of learning.
Our vision is ‘Our place, to gather, learn and grow’. We need inspirational leaders who can both fashion our vision then live it out.
As such, you will need to be:
Dedicated to fostering the learning and wellbeing of all ākonga and willing to go above and beyond for them
A collaborative, cohesive leader who is adaptable and solution focused, with well-developed organisational skills, and the ability to clearly communicate
An approachable leader, who will develop and nurture relationships across the broad spectrum of our community, embracing diversity and displaying a high degree of culturally responsive and inclusive practices that recognise our multicultural demographic and acknowledge the special place of Māori as mana whenua
Innovative and progressive in your approach to teaching and learning based on a deep understanding of current best practice with an excellent knowledge of the NZ Curriculum, with a passion for learning, including your own.
These positions may have a future teaching component.
