At Bear Park Epsom we are a small, close-knit and supportive team who are passionate about ongoing growth and professional development. With inspiration from Reggio Emilia, our teachers have a passion for inspiring wonder, creativity, imagination and investigation, fostering children's hundred languages and unravelling their theories alongside them.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced teacher with an interest in mentoring to join our team. This role would ideally suit an experienced teacher with an interest in leadership who is looking for a new challenge. We offer a very supportive and professional environment to further your leadership capability and mentoring skills.
This role is a full-time, permanent teaching position with our Tui children, aged 4 to 5 years. This is a small group of just 12 children, with two teachers (1:6 ratios), allowing you plenty of time and opportunity to engage in truly meaningful learning experiences with the children.
3 hours per week of collaborative planning time with your co-teacher offers an excellent opportunity to develop a rich learning programme and create authentic documentation that celebrates and makes visible the learning of the children. In doing so you will create a context that you can share with the wider teaching team, offering exemplars from which they can learn and tools that you can use in your mentoring.
You will work closely with the centre director and receive regular support from an experienced pedagogical team to extend your own professional knowledge and practice within a strongly Reggio inspired setting. At Bear Park we are passionate about supporting our teachers to reach their full potential and we will support you in achieving your professional goals.
