Do you like the idea of working in a whānau-focused centre?
Te Waka Huruhurumanu is a whānau based, bilingual early learning centre based at Ara Institute of Canterbury in Christchurch CBD.
We cater for tamariki 6 months to 6 years of age and are licensed for 50 tamariki daily, (with max 12 under 2 years of age).
Our philosophy and values are underpinned by te Ao Māori me ōna tikanga. We are committed to our bicultural practices, teaching and learning. Our centre has a strong emphasis on te reo Māori alongside supporting other cultures in our community. Kaiako are encouraged to work alongside our tamariki, exploring and discovering the world around them.
We have a full-time (40 hours) kaiako position available for a qualified ECE teacher.
We are looking for a passionate, energetic, likeminded and innovative kaiako to be part of our teaching team, contributing towards high quality care and education.
Start date for this position is 01 February 2021 or by negotiation.
