Due to successfully filling our centre spaces, we are now in need of a qualified and registered teacher to complete our teaching team. This position would suit someone who need work life balance, as this position is for school hours each day 9am until 3.30pm.
Our small team of teachers are dedicated to providing quality education and experiences for our tamariki. We have four main programmes in our centre:
Healthy Heart – where we focus on nutrition education and active lifestyles for our community.
Transition to School – supporting our four year olds in their transition from early learning to a school environment.
Social and Emotional Competence - providing a consistent routine and rules for our children to develop healthy relationships and responses to different emotions.
Neighbourhood Heroes – being a part of our community through exploring the neighbourhood and local businesses we have connections with.
As part of our team, the successful teacher will be passionate about providing intentional teaching and planned experiences, as well as supporting the centre in excursions, group times with children and special events such as holiday programmes, celebrations and whānau evenings. A passion for real life experiences such as cooking, gardening and sustainability would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will contribute to our planning and assessment, including being provided non-contact to complete learning stories and attending fortnightly staff meetings. As part of our welcoming and family-oriented team, you will be a part of a team with experienced leadership and will be provided with coaching and mentoring as well as support in a professional growth cycle to meet the requirements of registration purposes.
