Waimate is a family oriented and progressive community that have become accustomed to their school being adaptable and open to change. 

At Centennial we have a strong culture of caring for our students and each other. 

Waimate is a moderate sized rural community close to Timaru, mid way between Christchurch and Dunedin. We are on the edge of the lakes district, close to the sea and not far from the mountains of the Southern Alps. There are modern facilities and many opportunities for young people in the district.
