Specialist teacher outreach service Scale A – fixed-term FTE 0.6 with the potential to grow in the future
Starting as soon as possible in term 1, 2021 ending 27/1/2022.
We are a special school for young persons aged 5–21 years. As part of our school we run the Specialist Teacher Outreach Service.
This service currently has 13 teachers who visit and support students who have ORs funding in mainstream schools in the greater Wellington/Hutt Valley region.
Our school has a position for a Scale A teacher 0.6 (3 days) fixed-term, part-time teacher to work in this Outreach Team.
Our Service is expanding and there is potential for this position to increase during the year as our roll grows. There is also the possibility that this fixed term will be extended into the 2022 school year.
If you are a great team player committed to working collaboratively with schools, teachers and students then we would love to have you working alongside us to provide a vibrant learning environment for special needs students.
Experience in working with special needs and nonverbal children is desirable however even more importantly, we are looking for an enthusiastic innovative teacher with a “can do “attitude. There is travel involved and a mileage allowance is paid.
